In the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are considered so precious as to be priceless. Thus they are given freely, with the opportunity to offer voluntary donations, or dana. We deeply appreciate whatever you are moved to give.
 

 
 

Circle of Friends

Thanks to monthly sustaining donations from our Circle of Friends, we are able to continue to offer meditation classes, series, and gatherings, along with a wide range of creative activities and studies, supportive sanghas, and spiritual friends groups. Especially if you’re a regular with us, we hope you’ll join our Circle of Friends at whatever level works for you.

One-time Contributions

If you attend occasionally or would prefer to donate casually or when so moved, we’ll also be grateful for your one-time contribution.

 

 

Why We Give

  • Some of us give out of sheer gratitude for the role the sangha plays in our lives; for access to the Dharma and the many teachers who so generously give of their time; and for the relationships we experience in our loving community.
  • Some of us give because we attend multiple gatherings throughout the month, from early morning, midday, or evening meditation classes to Poetry Sangha, Game Night, or Creativity Moves. Giving monthly frees us to attend all and anything we can. It feels like an all-access pass. :)
  • Some of us give so others who can’t afford it may attend without worrying about paying.
  • Some of us think of monthly giving like tithing, with our level of support commensurate with our budget and gratitude.
  • Most of us give between $10 and $100 per month, including many at $40. Your generosity in any amount is truly appreciated!

The Center for Mindful Living is a project of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW). We are managed by volunteers and supported largely through dana (generous contributions) and monthly contributions from our Circle of Friends. 

IMCW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is fully tax-deductible, to the extent permitted by law.
