Monthly Singles Sangha with Jennifer Stanley

The IMCW Singles Sangha is a welcoming community of people who gather to experience a shared connection with others who are, by choice or by circumstance, single at this time in their lives. In a couple-centric world, our purpose is simply to create a space for connection and shared experience.

We practice inclusion of and respect for our sangha’s rich diversity of ages, experiences, identities and personal expression, and encourage all varieties and ages of single people to join.

8:45 potluck and socializing

  • Bring a dish or beverage to share for the potluck, if you wish. No registration is required.
  • This class is offered freely, however a dana (donation) of $15 is suggested to help us meet our expenses.
  • Volunteer: To support the event and meet like-minded singles, we encourage you to arrive early and stay late to help with a few simple tasks.

Monthly Children’s Sangha with Jennifer Jordan and Ofosu Jones-Quartey

Meets: 2nd Sunday of the month, 4:15 – 5:30 pm; Dharma Room in Suite 200, Upper Floor
Drop in — no registration required

For 5-12 year olds and parents/family members.

The Children’s Sangha classes provides young children with a Buddhist framework to explore their inner life, understand the causes of emotional stress, realize the possibility of inner freedom, and develop peace, wisdom and kindness. Classes include lessons on basic Buddhist teachings along with discussion and short meditations. Visual aids, visiting teachers, movement, stories, songs and other exercises support the concepts.

Parents attend the classes with their children. This is a drop-in class; no registration is required. This class does not require a fee, but you will have an opportunity to offer dana.

Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend IMCW classes. Chairs are always provided or you may bring your sitting gear.


Monthly (2 times per month) Teen Sangha with Em Morrison

Meets: 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month, 7:30 – 9:00 pm; Meditation Room in Suite 201, Upper Floor

The teen sangha provides a framework for exploring one’s inner life, understanding the causes of emotional stress, and realizing the possibility of inner freedom. We explore key Buddhist teachings and how they can be helpful in navigating life’s inevitable challenges.

The teen sangha meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
